About Us
The Beginning
Our story begins in Bronx, New York where the founder of Dougie Bun grew up. As a child and adolescent, he would spend a great deal of time with his friends. They did everything together, from playing sports to joking amongst each other. From time to time, they’d assign each other nicknames. Usually, the nicknames given were based on an attribute, characteristic, or action. One day, Doug ventured down to the playground, and someone blurted out “Hey, Dougie Buns”. Little did Doug know, his nick name would become the brand name of his company.
Nickname to Brand
As an adult, Doug loved to snack on baked goods. One day he decided to bake treats for his family. Doug settled on making a few “cinnamon rolls”. Being his first time baking, he was unsure if his family would like his treat. To his utter shock and surprise, they enjoyed it so much that he decided to share it with society. While conversing with his friend, Doug was reminded of the nickname that was given to him. Embracing his nickname for the first time ever, he decided to call his company and signature product “Dougie Bun”.
